Remy Schilperoort

Rémy Schilperoort has been working in the field of Urban Water since 2004: purification, sewerage, urban water and the interfaces between them. As a specialist in the field of measuring in the wastewater chain, he is involved in measuring projects in sewer systems and sewage treatment plants. The common denominator of these projects lies in the desire to really understand what is happening in practice and not to rely (only) on theory. The underlying motivation is to contribute to increasing efficiency in the water chain.

Collecting good measurement data is often the basis of thorough system knowledge. There is no such thing as a quick measurement; Every measurement project - no matter how small - requires careful preparation, good guidance during the installation of sensors, monitoring their functioning, data validation and sufficient sewerage knowledge when interpreting data. Rémy combines scientific 'state of the art' knowledge with extensive practical experience to make measurement projects successful and to draw conclusions from the data in a responsible manner.

Rémy is driven to share his knowledge and experience and to continue to learn himself. Together with customers, new discoveries are regularly published in Dutch and international professional literature and presented at (inter)national conferences. He also gives lectures at home and abroad, often about recently developed measuring techniques and their application in sewer systems.
