Erik Liefting has been working in the field of sewerage and urban water since 2006. He is a specialist in the field of measuring in the wastewater chain. This specialty includes the determination of measurement objectives, design of measurement plans, tendering and realization of measurement networks, coordination of the implementation of measurement projects, data validation and analysis. In addition to measurements of water quantity, his expertise also includes monitoring emissions and surface water quality. Erik has extensive experience with innovative and large-scale measurement projects and collaboration projects with municipalities and water boards. He connects scientific 'state of the art' knowledge with practical experience.

Erik is skilled and driven to share his knowledge and experience, as evidenced by his publications at home and abroad. Erik is part of the author pool of the RIONED Foundation and has made numerous contributions to the Sewerage Guidelines and the Urban Water Knowledge Bank. He is also a regular teacher of RIONED courses. With a focus on his customer's needs and his expertise, Erik comes up with effective solutions for urban water systems.
